We are not professional experts, child psychologist, nor therapist. We ourselves are just parents that have experienced a rough childhood! But by God' grace, God’s love, and guidance we were able to navigate raising our own children in a better way. We have also worked with and continue to work with children through our personal careers. (Learn more about us, individually, below!) We understand the good and the not so good that occurs on this parenting journey and would love to share our journey with you all!

Alicia M. Knox is a passionate mother of two awesome teenagers. Born in Chicago Ill, Knox greatest passion is helping others be the best version of themselves. Alicia accomplishes this through patience, love, and compassion.
Alicia manages the day-to-day operations of APFEEC. Her goal is to continue helping strengthen families and provide resources available to them. Alicia is obsessed with education and learning new things to be better each day. In 2013 Alicia took a leap of faith and opened Whoo’s Your Nanny and Babysitting Agency LLC. Whoo’s Your Nanny serviced Milwaukee, WI and Chicago Ill.
One of Alicia favorite quotes is by motivational speaker Les Brown “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” Alicia loves traveling with her family and watching basketball in her free time.
Migdalia

Migdalia Smith was born in Chicago, Illinois, on the Northwest side. At an early age and raised
with three other siblings in a single-parent home. Her mother eventually relocated the family to
Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
After tumultuous times, Migdalia was introduced to the salvation of Jesus Christ. Migdalia is a Christian and professes the name of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as she ministers the grace and love afforded by Him to all that she connects with. Migdalia has been married to the love of her life, Zachary Smith, for 16 years. They have two sons.
Upon completion of a local cosmetology program, Migdalia opened her own boutique where she is the proprietor/owner of Kater2Kidz Salon Spa and Boutique, located in West Allis, WI. The salon offers children’s spa parties along with professional health and beauty services for both adults and children.
Migdalia Smith was inspired to author a book (In the Case when God’s promise of safety seems to
fail) in hopes of encouraging women to never lose hope and to witness to the world that with GOD,
impossibilities are possible.
